unexpected excitement

since i last updated this blog, i have done a few things that i have been wanting to do since i got here. i got to experience my first real rugby game. granted, it was a rugby 7's game, but it was a lot of fun and i had a blast. all of fans supporting their countries and the energy in the stadium was almost moving. i could not help but yell and cheer for all of the teams while i was on the edge of my seat. one of the other things i was able to do was make intercultural friends. there were other students outside where i am staying and they were having a good time, so i decided to go downstairs and see what the commotion was about. next thing you know, i am playing table tennis with them all and they invited me to join them for dinner. i help clean up and make sure the girls found their way home and had a great talk with the others on the way back. i do not know if i will talk to them all after i leave Australia, but i do hope so. they were all great people and i am glad that i met them all. so, since i last posted, i have met and made new friends, seen a rugby game, and made even more memories for a trip i will not soon forget.
